Additional fuel tank LRA Toyota FJ Cruiser 115L

The auxiliary tank LRA is designed for Toyota FJ Cruiser models intended for the American market and equipped with the 4.0 V6 petrol engine. Installed under the rear of the vehicle, behind the rear axle, it adds approximately 115 liters of extra fuel in order to significantly increase the range without modifying the original main tank.

This configuration retains the original fuel tank and uses an electric pump to transfer fuel to it. The system includes a dual filler neck to supply both the main and auxiliary tanks. A control module with a switch and gauge allows fuel transfer to be controlled from inside the vehicle.

The reservoirs LRA They are made of 2mm T125CQ steel. They incorporate internal baffling to limit fuel movement, as well as an expansion chamber. Before being sold, they undergo pressure tests and several quality control checks. Tests are also carried out over dozens of kilometers of heavily degraded tracks. These tests verify the tank's resistance to vibrations, repeated twisting, impacts, and the stresses of prolonged off-road use.

This version is specific to Toyota FJ Cruisers sold on the American market. It takes into account the fuel vapor management system (EVAP / canister) specific to this configuration. It should not be confused with this kit intended for the Australian market, whose capacity and installation differ.
