Designed by a dedicated team of OME engineers as part of a comprehensive development program, Nitrocharger Sport 4x4 shock absorbers offer the best control, durability, and the most comfortable ride whatever the terrain.
The objective of a Coil spring is to support the weight of a vehicle and its load and that of a shock absorber is to control the Coil spring by absorbing excess energy. In doing so, it has a significant impact on the ride and handling of your vehicle.
During the development of the OME Nitrocharger Sport shock absorbers, special attention was paid to their correspondence with the Coil springs particulars that they were going to control. The engineers adapted the shock absorber valves to work with the different Coil springs of the range. This often results in several shock absorbers being available for each vehicle. Whether for work or leisure, ARB has a solution for just about any application.

Steering Dampers (Below)
An integral part of the Old Man Emu 4x4 suspension range, steering stabilizers are designed to reduce the effect of wheel vibration and improve vehicle feel, handling, and control. They will also reduce aggressive steering wheel rotation on rough roads without affecting steering feedback.

Coil springs HELICOÏDAUX
ARB designs a wide range of Coil springs Old Man Emu helicals for each vehicle, using steel Coil spring advanced micro-alloying to ensure superior resistance to sagging and corrosion. With such a range, the Coil springs helicals may be better suited to your specific load requirements and intended vehicle use.
Although a lift is achieved, the focus is more on suspension tuning improvements. Finer tuning is possible when the Coil springs are paired with a matching set of Old Man Emu shock absorbers. This provides a fully integrated system specifically designed for your vehicle.

BLADES OF Coil springs
The Blades of Coil springs Old Man Emu are designed to deliver optimal driving performance whatever the conditions they are subjected to.
Many Coil springs are available to meet a multitude of applications and allow you to configure your vehicle for recreational or professional purposes. A set of Coil springs Old Man Emu leaf springs matched with a set of Old Man Emu 4x4 shock absorbers will greatly improve the ride, handling and load carrying capacity of your vehicle.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE Coil springs BLADED
- The tapered, diamond-cut blades ensure progressive load distribution over a larger area. This reduces high stresses at the blade tips and improves driving comfort and service life.
- The blade fixings are screwed in to allow the installation of nylon anti-squeak coverings
- Fully preset to ensure that the Coil spring take a permanent “posture” and reduce the risk of slumping
- Load testing ensures that the Coil spring conforms to the necessary specifications
- Military envelope designed to provide more security
- Greasable nylon inter-blade anti-friction bushings reduce friction at the ends of the blades where the load is greatest
- The flat axle mounting area provides a secure and positive attachment to the axle reducing stress on the Coil spring and increasing its lifespan
- The live side of all blades is shot peened to reduce stress on the Coil spring. This process can double the lifespan of a Coil spring
- Two layers of blades are available on most Coil springs rear for optimal comfort. When unloaded, the vehicle rests largely on the first layer and the second layer provides additional support when a heavy load is added
