Replacement tank LRA Nissan Patrol Y61 Wagon SWB LWB 146L

The replacement tank LRA is designed for Nissan Patrol GU. It replaces the original main tank and increases the fuel capacity to 146 liters. The standard filler point is retained, as are the original exhaust and spare wheel location.

This configuration increases the vehicle's range without the need for an auxiliary fuel tank. Positioned behind the rear axle, the tank integrates seamlessly under the vehicle while retaining its main original functions.

Since 1989, LONG RANGE AUTOMOTIVE designs and manufactures its tanks in Australia. Each model is developed for a specific vehicle application. The objective is to optimize the available volume while respecting the mechanical constraints of the chassis, filling, exhaust and transmission.

The reservoirs LRA are made of 2 mm T125CQ steel. They incorporate internal baffles to limit fuel movement, as well as an expansion chamber. Before being sold, they undergo pressure tests and several quality control checks. Tests are also carried out on dozens of kilometers of heavily degraded tracks. These tests verify the tank's resistance to vibrations, repeated twisting, impacts, and the stresses of prolonged off-road use.

The installation time is estimated at approximately 3 hours. On models produced between 1998 and 2000, it is necessary to check the diameter of the original filler hose. If it has the same diameter at both ends, the filler hose from the version produced after February 2000 must be used (Nissan part number 17228-VB00). This tank is not compatible with the ARB rear wheel carrier. The presence of a rear bumper KAYMAR may require additional assembly time.
