James Baroud Eco-Bag — The next generation of versatile overland bag

THE Eco-Bag James Baroud This is the versatile bivouac bag born from James Baroud's eco-responsible approach: recycled materials, Portuguese manufacturing, maximum durability. Generous volume (~40L), multiple pockets, waterproof roll-top closure + clip: this is the bag that adapts to all configurations — equipment bag, laundry bag, shopping bag, bag for a dismantled tent.

Made from recycled polyester canvas with a PVC coating, reinforced seams, a reinforced base, double handles, and a removable shoulder strap. You can set it down, carry it, or even strap it to the roof rack: it can take a beating. And when it comes to washing, the PVC coating wipes clean in a minute with a sponge. A must-have for anyone who wants a single bag for all their overland needs.

What is its intended use?

Everything: transporting wet gear (wet bedding, wet clothes, dirty laundry), a shopping bag for bivouac supplies, a beach/nautical bag for stopovers, and a bag for sensitive equipment (camera + drone protected from dust). Particularly useful on long-distance expeditions where each item needs to serve multiple purposes.

Installation and maintenance

No installation required. For a watertight seal: wrap 3 times then clip. Care: clean with a sponge and mild soap, dry flat. Avoid prolonged UV exposure to preserve the durability of the PVC.

We also do use the pickup in the forest, with brushes and stumps on its ways. So, we decided to replace the original skid plates with something sturdier. Almont4WD skid plates are sturdier than the original, definitely! All vulnerable parts are covered, there is one plain level from front to back, with no screws sneaking and ready to be torn off. The parts are to mount easyly, and vehicle maintenance still is an easy job, too. Almont4WD is an excellent choice for the one who need the ultimate skid protection.
